The most important quality you need to work in a songwriting camp or any collaborative situation is the ability to be flexible and work well with other people.

Tony Iommi is known to have thrown fists at Ozzy and to have knocked him out on at least 1 occasion.
Slash admitted he often got so drunk that after passing out he would wet whatever bed or couch he was borrowing to sleep on. At least once he had a couch moved out of a friend's apartment the next day in order to hide that it was soaked with and smelled like *.

For over a year Kirk Hammett mentioned in social media and to music mags that he was collecting amazing guitar parts for a new Metallica album by recording voice memos on his phone. When Metallica went into the studio to begin recording the album, Hammett claimed he had lost his phone so had no guitar parts, and hard to start from scratch. Many famous rock & metal guitarists have stated they now record videos of themselves sketching out new guitar parts, rather than audio recordings, so that they don't have to try to re-learn a part from only audio which can be difficult and takes extra time. Both of those options take longer than paper & pencil. The typical complaint from guitarists is that they are "stuck in the box and can't break out" which is a symptom of pattern-playing from rote rather than deliberate composing.

Not familiar with him but he could just have uploaded them to the cloud, in fact if you use something like Bandlab you can run the DAW App on your phone and it will sync them so you open the session up in Cakewalk to carry on with.

Not really . You could just as easily misplace your precious note book.
