Hey Doug,

I love the track. It really captured the style and feel of that era. What are you using for your drum sounds?
Thank you Lamar, I appreciate that! I used the custom and vintage kit in superior drummer 2 running through a Studer tape emulation plug in and into the capital chambers reverb.

Glad you liked it! I was able to get it signed with a publisher who submitted it for a cable TV show, so fingers crossed…

All the best,
Doug
Thanks for sharing your drum samples and signal chain. I love the Al Schmidt Big Band drums in EZ Drummer 2. Recorded at Capitol Studios using vintage everything. Good luck with your track.
Onward and upward!
Lamar

Doug, I think the strings sound great. Really easy on the ears all the way around!

Awesome to hear, thank you! I got some great advice from Mark aka Cosmic Dolphin to bring them up an octave so as to not interfere with the guitar, and that made a big difference. Thanks for listening, and good luck with your music! Doug

For me, the track works very well for that style. The wav file looks like it got a buzz cut but listening from my laptop I still think it sounds good. The guitar, chord progression, and piano are all very stylishly on the money for me. The strings sound like a pad in the background and I think they sounded fine. good luck
