8 Dispatch Listings in a Row

Post by jlizerbram » Fri Dec 04, 2009 3:04 pm

I thought that was kinda cool to see 8 dispatch listings coming through in a row with all different genres for the same project. Only thing is, WOW, that deadline passed quickly! So, a movie about people playing board games, not having fun - Playing Guitar Hero in Walmart, trying on clothes that are too hip, then going to a cafe listening to Jazz. Sounds like my kinda movie...can't wait to see it! Anyone submit music to any of them?

I submitted two. I already had a bossa with vocals and I cooked up a jazz piano thing in a hurry.

I got a few in about 1 min before the deadline.. I have to get better about reading all the way to the deadline time!! I assumed 4pm and it just happened to re-read it 10 mins before the deadline... I had a couple more I could have submitted but lost out due that mistake!Marlin

They do take care of their customers and occasionally "my dog ate my homework" type of excuse will work.I just wouldn't make that my normal modus operandi Chuck

Well, got returned on a quickie I did within a few hours of this listing due-date:
ROCK SONGS and INSTRUMENTALS needed immediately by a prominent Music Supervisor who is working on an Indie Film. This specific request is needed for a film scene where people are playing the Guitar Hero video game. Music needs to be contemporary and upbeat, similar to the modern songs you would most likely hear when playing Guitar Hero. Broadcast quality needed (excellent home recordings are okay). Please submit one to three songs or instrumentals online or per CD, include lyrics (if applicable). All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than 2:00pm (PST) on Thursday, December 3, 2009. TAXI #D091203RK
It was a fun and quick ride while it lasted! Here's what I submitted: http://music.lizardmusiccreations.com/guitardude.mp3

I submitted to three of these listings. I figured the more last minute the listings, the less competition there would be and the more desperate the listing party must be.

I mainly used old material and tweaked it for what they were looking for. If only I'd had a couple more hours I could have submitted more. I guess that's always the story!
