A noob's first peer-to-peer review request...country/rock
Hello folks! Brand new to Taxi. The song below represents my first ever attempt at having professional studio musicians cut one of my songs, which is super exciting. Who knew G/F/C could sound so compelling? I'd appreciate any ears-on advice, as I did submit this to two very similar country/rock listings (one listing is below). Thank you! Hope everyone enjoys their holiday weekend.
Cheers,
Josh

COUNTRY ROCK SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a successful Music Licensing Company with tons of credits in HIT TV Shows!
This Music Library is looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that are in the general stylistic ballpark of the references below:
“Bottoms Up” by Brantley Gilbert
“Rich” by Maren Morris
“Beer Money” by Kip Moore
Quoting the company's CEO: "Your Songs need to be UPBEAT, CURRENT, and FUN. Nothing too sad or sappy." Please submit well-crafted Country/Rock Songs that have great melodies, top-notch lyrics, and compelling choruses. Your submissions should have strong Country productions with Rock influence that would sound at home on a playlist with the references. Be sure your vocal performances have plenty of confidence, personality, and Country authenticity! Lyric Tip: They are open to all lyric themes; however, we've been told that lyrics about money and/or beer would be especially appreciated.
Cheers,
Josh

Hey Josh,
I have no idea why no one has replied to this!
Now remember.... I am no country music expert..... but this is very good!
Your tracks does not have quite the same vibe as the examples.... but I see no reason this would not be forwarded.
Good Luck!
Tim

Maybe post the lyric here? Country is all about the right lyrics, as they need to withstand very, very close readings.. In my experience, country publishers are very knowledgable and litterate, so the lyric is high on the make it/ break it factor list. That is why country is so high bar..

Wow, that's incredible! There's a reason I don't listen to much country music, but this ain't it. I feel that this song has a pretty good shot at going forward (and possibly beyond) with whatever listing is appropriate. Good luck!
