Addictive Drums 2 is coming out. I was wondering if anyone had any pre opinions.

I like it a lot. Been using it for a bit now, and the interface is much cleaner in my opinion - and some really nice improvements. I started a new thread with some more details.

cheers -

The tools seem real nice but if you use it along side Logic's Drummer then you may run into mapping issues. This is because the different articulations are all being triggered from the same key using Logic Remote. Logic Remote is a subject for another post.

Fairfax Volume 2 is now available; if you bought Vol 1, check your email for a limited-time third-off discount code.

Mini Review of Fairfax 2? Utterly awesome Gretsch Round Badge kit with some really sweet extras. Another no-brainer purchase.

Does anyone use Stylus RMX? It may already be in the post.

I had to jump on this one...upgraded to AD2 and threw in the United Pop kit too.

What's your favorite AD drumkit, Mojo?

Tough question; it varies some by what I'm working on, but if I had to narrow it down to three, they'd be Fairfax 2 (Gretsch Round Badge; so well-integrated, with such impeccable cymbal choices and tuning that makes the entire kit speak as a single voice, and what a voice! ) Black Velvet (DW Collector's Series; as bombastic as Keith Moon on Red Bull, yet as smooth as Bond, James Bond) and Indie. (Ice Custom; lots of grit and heft, with possibly the best tom, kick and snare sounds of the bunch) The Funk, Fairfax 1 and United Pop kits are great, too, though I've barely scratched the surface of the latter. (hint; it absolutely kills, for reggae) I've built lotsa Frankenstein kits, too; some, I like even better than the factory kits. Thanks to Cyber Monday, I now own everything, but for a few percussion kitpieces and some MIDI titles.
