Again, ,another great plug..for orchestra..

Post by Sunset » Fri Dec 28, 2018 10:19 am

I recently got an e mail from the value priced/very high quality guy Indiginus, with an amazing sounding all in one symphonic library- that punches WAY above its price point. http://indiginus.com/amadeus.html

The brass is very good for this price, piano is great, and he throws a few extras such as nylon and electric guitar as well..

Well worth the $99 price tag if you're looking for a great sounding (more classical, to my ear) library to buy/add to your collection. Any of my Indiginus purchases have been great values for their prices...

Highly recommended for at least a look..

Happy New Year!

This looks like a very good buy, particularly for beginners and runs on the free Kontakt player. It doesn't sound as ritzy as CineSymphony Lite, but at less than half the price, it's almost a no-brainer; I haven't seen a symphonic kit this complete at this price. The brass is a little gritty and the strings a little thin here and there and the legato not as slick as 8DIO and some others, but it's a really great starter that I wish was available when I was plunking down fat stacks. I'll be picking this up, cuz it has some elements I don't have and can really use, and it should layer well with what I've got already. Thanks for the tip!

Good tool for light accompaniment, or composing. I wouldn't use it for a serious orchestra soundtrack though, it still has some quality issues compared with libraries like Spitfire, LASS, etc.

I probably don't own/use enough orchestral libraries to form a valid opinion; my tastes run to chamber and disco strings, soul/R&B horns, sweetening and an occasional touch of orchestral percussion. Your choice will depend on your needs; If you're doing full scale symphonic mockups, maybe start with Vienna Symphonic; their offerings are broad and deep. East-West Hollywood is getting long in the tooth, but you hear it a lot, still. There's tons more newer stuff that probably supersedes, stuff I know about. I recall Spitfire has these huge tutti samples, good for bombastic trailer stuff and some janky out-of-tune bits that help sell the realism; they've added so much more since, it's hard to keep up. Different programmers suit different workflows. There's a ton of useful infos on these and many more over at the VI Control Forum.
