Allow Me to Introduce Myself

Just thought I'd say hello to everyone on the forum since it's my first post!I make Rap/Hip-Hop music and try to create original and meaningful concepts. I'm frustrated that rappers who make nothing but "club-bangers" (i.e. Soulja Boy) are at the top and have at the same timed shelved the great storytelling rap of ages past (Notorious B.I.G., for example). Even I have a club-friendly song, but I feel like rap is diluting into an empty and superficial bling-fest that does nothing but offend its listeners intelligence with increasingly ridiculous concepts (I'm looking at you, Stanky Leg). Enough about the state of the game.I come from a suburb of Detroit, Warren, and am really just starting out in music. I primarily use Logic Pro to produce my tracks and have made five songs to date that I feature on my website. I hope to make a few more before I begin booking shows and beginning my empire. I feel like this community will be a valuable resource for me throughout my journey to the top and I look forward to learning from people who know more about this than I do!

Welcome to the Forums, Q-bot.I love your screen name; and you are obviously quite skilled with woids. "Bling-fest" in particular cracked me up.
