Nice cue for sure, nice feel. Given my history of feedback, I'm surprised that it went through. Not a lot of melodic development in there, I've been dinged a billion times for that. Good groove, it sounds like a bed mix most of the time, there is no "compelling theme" as the screeners usually ask for. Still, it's a forward, so that is great news!

Yeah for the first time I played the ref track a gazillion times "Beachside" as I was working on it, usually I listen to a ref for a couple of times then get the tempo and write something and never check back, like I have heard in Taxi tv or from other like you 'read and listen to the ref carefully" so it stuck in my hard head. I wanted to add more and a guitar melody but held myself back from what I would usually do so just left it simple. Although I love acid jazz which this sounds like that style to me and have done many session work on it but don't really write much in this style so believe it or not as much as it is a simple track it took me a long time, I can write Latin, flamenco, jazz in a couple of hours but simple is hard for me.

As I said "I almost didn't submit" because I found it really bland an boring so I was surprised and I wasn't sure to add vocal textures or not so I just left it.
