This is fabulous advice, especially because it is so difficult to find lots of clear samples. And thank you for the instrumentation advice also! As others have said, it's very generous of you!

For those of us that may have missed it on air, or in reruns, it was a hugely influential show; pizz strings and bass clarinet have become almost a cliche, and you can probably thank Danny Elfman, if you like. "Dramedy" probably had a sound, before "Desperate Housewives"-maybe it sounded like "Bewitched", but if you could name a show that defines the genre, that would be it.

Thank you Steve, I was JUST watching Real Housewives, wishing there wasn't so much dialogue! What an awesome resource and I appreciate your sharing.

Steve,

Thank you for being so generous! You are a superb orchestrator, and I loved the variety of your cues. You're a man of many ideas!

I am making a thorough analysis of your cues so I can write some with more confidence.

Thanks, everyone. I hope you found these tracks useful. I am considering posting stems for some of the tracks if anyone would be interested. I wouldn't be able to do them all, but if there a few tracks that people are interested in I would be happy to share.

Posting stems would serve two purposes:

1) Provide an example of how tracks are remixed as stems (most libraries require this)
2) Give additional insight into the composition and its orchestration

Thanks so much for giving back to the community Steve! This is great info.

I really enjoyed your recent episode of Taxi TV. It was so helpful to actually see and hear the process.
