Post by lwj001 » Wed Dec 27, 2006 12:17 am

Are there promoters of lyrics only? I've not run across any so far. I only write lyrics, not music or singing.my Country/Cowboy/Western lyrics:http://www.pic-a-pagediscounts.com/Real ... ics.htmlmy Island themed lyrics:http://www.pic-a-pagediscounts.com/song_lyrics_1.html

Kingwood KowboyI visited your site and it's amazing how many lyrics you've written. I don't know much about country. But I've met country lyricists who use demo studios in Nashville. Have you recorded any of your songs? Lots of people also co-write. (I don't mind you writing about cows either, I'm a Taurus born in the Chinese year of the Ox!!!) There are some country writers on the Taxi forums who can give you more specific advice. Stay cool.Nomi

Nomiyah, I had two demos done by a studio in North Carolina. Each was around $135. I tried to pitch them to labels, one hand-carried to them, but no takers. I don't have the time/money/connections to do that again. I was just thinking that there might be an agency that markets lyrics. I have not seen or heard of any.

Never heard of any. The closest thing to it is the American Songwriter Magazine lyric only competition.

Have you thought about hooking up with some of the musicians on here. Put a post in the Collaboration Corner. There's lot's of artists on Taxi looking for good lyrics.Get yourself a few partnerships going. You write the words, they write the music. It's a tried and tested formula that's been working for some of the biggest artists around.
