Good post Casey!

Highlights:

- started in January 2021 with my journey in production music and in 2022 I was able to release my music in a dozen of albums with 4 different libraries and write mainly for new planned albums also for 2023
- was featured with nine other composers in Taxis 10 featured songs of the month
- listening back to tracks from 2021 my production quality has improved

Impatience Facts:

- in 2021 I was able to make 6 new contacts from 68 forward with Taxi. In 2022 I was able to make 0 (zero) new contacts with almost 40 forwards with Taxi. I will still renew my membership though :)
- still waiting for a confirmed placement (I'm not using tunesat!)
- Out of these 6 contacts 2 seem to have gone stealth and are not responding anymore and 1 is probably not a good fit for me

Outlook for 2023

- super excited to write for many planned albums
- producing an R'n'B vocal album for a library with my lovely wife who is a super-talented vocalist, composer, and arranger

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to y'all!

Oh man , get a free Tunesat account - It's half the fun of this game seeing the detections and being able to listen to the clip of the TV show with your music in.

Plus it's a real good indicator of which libraries are working well for you about 1-2 years before you would know via your PRO

Congrats on the rest of your progress this year.

Mark

So are the paid PLANS!!! Haven't looked at their planes yet.

Yea, the paid plans are way too expensive for us mere mortals. I think it can only be worth it if you are earning well over 6 figures or a publisher with a large catalog. The free 50 track account is a nice toy to get advance notice of placements.

Happy Holidays!

I know one of the big libraries I work with pay for it and sent the data to the PRO who accept it as proof of broadcast, I don't think I know any individual composers that aren't just on the free plan

When I was at the PRS day I spoke to one of the high ups and he said that PRS had spoken to Tunesat in the past but it was too expensive

There are some workarounds/hacks to get the most out of a free account.
