Backing Vocals on Instrumental Cues
Does anyone know how flexible listings like the '50s-Style Instrumental Cues (TAXI # S210108FT) are with regard to backing vocals? I know for more modern styles, "heys" and "yeahs" are often times entirely acceptable, but doo-wop was such a huge part of the 50s and those backing vocals are far more prominent. Is there a place to ask that other than in here?

Re: Backing Vocals on Instrumental Cues
You could always post a link to the instrumental in the "Peer-2-Peer" section here and get better feedback to your question.
Hypothetically, if you are subtracting a lead vocal without adding back in a melodic instrument to replace it, the backing vocals could feel out of place or become too predominate for TV/Film. Without hearing it though, who knows?
Cheers

I don't know specifically about that listing but have certainly delivered instrumental cues to libraries with backing type vocals, and also delivered an Alt Mix without them.
