Love me Do? The harmony changes, but I don't think he does?
Good guess! Lennon does sing one note, but it's the root of the chord, not the third.
Don't die yet, Paul!
O.K. --- another clue. The melody starts after a quarter note rest, not on the downbeat. The first four bars of the verse have the same 11 notes starting on the major third of the first chord. There are a couple other notes thrown in.

MARK IS THE WINNER! Congratulations! You win FOUR Ticonderoga pencils for your brilliant analysis!
Most would never guess that after the great intro and the melodies and harmonies on the chorus. It's kind of
hidden in the song in some ways. A classic Lennon (non) melody!

Gotta give Mark a pat on the back.

Stuart! You're a PLAYER! What's next? Maybe something really weird? I can't think of another, offhand. Paul? C'mon, bring them on!
Did you know that the old Sgt. Pepper thread went to about 500 pages!?

single notes
Here, let me space them better:
E G# E That would be on the "D" string technically.
After each guess I will add another.

O.K.! Got it. I thought you were a modern composer writing E#'s! HaHa!
