Hey Vic. I agree with a lot of the folks on here. Robin Fredericks "Shortcuts to Songwriting for Film & TV" taught me a lot. I'm still not all the way through it (lots of exercises) but it is very insightful and extremely well written. See ya in November!

A couple of older books that I found very helpful are If They Ask You, You Can Write A Song and The Craft Of Lyric Writing

The examples are a bit dated by now, but they're still widely known and useful, imo.
