Re: Better saved than sorry
Blue Ray is a good suggestion. Thanks for the input.

A quick glance at pricewatch shows the least expensive blu-ray burner at 574.00 with the disks at 18.99 a pop. You can buy a removable hard disk case (USB or FW or both) for around 60 bucks and a bare 250 G drive for around 60 bucks. Subtracting your initial 120.00 investment, you could buy 7 or 8 more 250 G drives for the cost of a blu-ray drive. Then, in a couple of years, when the blu-ray (or whatever wins the newest format war) drive comes down 10 fold in price and the disks are .50 apiece, back up all your hard drives to DVD and re-use them.Just an idea.Mazz

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Well there is that issue, and prices will come down.I heard that there is a reliable 200gb blue ray disc in testing, but there are no burners available on the market that could use them yet. Still, it shows you where we are heading. Might be a few years yet. There were also rumours of them trying do develop a 400gb disc.Who needs hard drives. Lol.
