Blues/Rock Forward and Social Activity

Post by nwade90 » Mon Jul 09, 2018 10:47 am

Hey all, I’m a recent convert to TAXI and, coincidentally, the listing that convinced me to join ended up in a forward (two, in fact). I had already recorded songs that fit the bill in my shadowy past, so I went for it. Regardless of the final outcome, that was a great boost of confidence; I guess the real test will come when my current home studio productions get a thumbs up, as well.

I’ll do my best to be more socially active around here and (finger’s crossed) I can make the Road Rally this year.

BLUES/ROCK SONGS with Male Vocals are needed by a large TV Production Company’s Non-Exclusive, In-House Music Library that supplies music directly to its own roster of Hit Reality Shows. They’re searching for compelling, Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that could generally fit in the stylistic wheelhouse of the following references we got from our client: “Howlin’ for You” by The Black Keys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSCsoQ87MQ8 “Level” by The Raconteurs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uhLJ3sL4eM “Heartbroken, In Disrepair” by Dan Auerbach https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0N2xsFiOOo Please give them well-structured, Blues/Rock Songs that have an authentic, passionate, and soulful approach. Your overall production should have a cool and edgy vibe, with thumping drums, dirty Blues-inspired guitar riffs, and driving bass lines. Your vocal performance should have some attitude and grit to it, and should sound like what you’d expect to typically hear from artists in this very popular genre…
