Books and resources on music marketing
I am THE WORST when it comes to marketing my music. It's a real issue that I'd like to start working on this year. Does anyone have any recommendations as far as books or websites for marketing/advertising/etc?

Re: Books and resources on music marketing
I am considering this book by Bobby Borg who was recently on Taxi TV (which I only just started watching)...

Re: Books and resources on music marketing
Content marketing is basically what everybody does now. That is why they do youtube, blogs, tradeshows ect. It's a good thing when you are poor at old school "selling", because it is not about that http://contentmarketinginstitute.com/wh ... marketing/
Music is basically expected to be free (to listen to, not to use), so creating free content with your music could be an option. That way you can advertise indirectly for the possibility of licensing it for tv, film and advertisement (which of course comes with a cost).
By doing content marketing you can build a reputation/ brand, that makes your music worth more (to use).
