Re: Bought the Book
It's on my shopping list, too. From the recommendations here & on Taxi TV...
sounds like it is pretty much the consensus/Taxi's "Bible" for songwriters.

Re: Bought the Book
I've got the one for Film and TV (she's also written "shortcuts to HIT songwriting"). Lots of good info in there; glad I bought it.

Re: Bought the Book
Robin's advice is rock solid. I bought the Kindle edition of "The 30-Minute Songwriter", I want her film book but there's not a Kindle version yet. I haven't bought a paper book in years.

As much as it is really cool to have digital copies with you at all times, there is something excellent about the ability to mark-up a physical book.Paulie wrote:Robin's advice is rock solid. I highlight the heck out of my Kindle books, but I get your point.

Re: Bought the Book
Exactly... you can't "scan" an E-Book quickly for your highlights as well as a hard copy... specially with all those post-its like Michael Laskow has in Robin's books. (ever seen that on TAXI TV ??)

You should hear her speak; truly powerful music analysis, solid foundational principles. Yeah, I also have her Film & TV book.Paulie wrote:Robin's advice is rock solid.
