Post by carel11 » Sun Dec 30, 2018 11:30 pm

Hello all
I'm working on the HOPEFUL, PIANO-Based INSTRUMENTAL CUE which is asking to be mid tempo
do you think If Im up around 130 bpm that it is too fast for this listing?
I'm wondering what bpm guidelines you guys are using..
thanks

Hey Carl with a big L!!!

The examples are all in 6/8 or is it 3/4....ha!

I didn't tap it out to see the exact speed is but......
What ever the examples speed is .... stay in that range to be safe.

TIM :
thanks for checking in on this
I did beat it out (ha) and found it to be 125
when I googled mid tempo bpms i found 120 to be the high parameter.
I know that sometimes the gatekeepers (screeners) can be a bit picky about such items, so I was wondering what others might be thinking about this.
and wasnt it interesting that the two example tunes for the request had waltz DNA.
simple stuff thats not so simple...and so the journey continues
be well

It depends how you beat it out. I recorded a song recently where I used 138 bpm. But in reality it was 69 bpm. It was just easier to stay in time with a metronome going double time.
