can a track be accepted with obvious timing issues?
I wrote a song this week and set the bpm at 75. All went well with the verse. When I got to the chorus, I had to sing everything so fast, it wrecked the vibe. I then shut off the click track. So I held the mic tight to my lips and did only a power grab on my acoustic to get the track bed down. I then went back and tried to watch the patterns come by and strum by guess. I did this with one regular acoustic on one side and then a capo'd on the other. I guessed on the bass too. Four tracks total. My vox has many clicks from dry mouth and mic so close. Just wondering if the timing makes you squirm??

The tempo changes fit perfectly and complement the lyrics just fine.
There's been an ongoing discussion (debate - look up Rick Beato on YouTube) about the overuse of the same bpm/click track through the entire length of a song.
While click tracks (in lieu of a live drummer track) are almost an essential when aligning remotely recorded tracks...
in-studio band recordings have the benefit of altering the tempo during a song - to 'breathe'...
and - to emphasize, say the Chorus - by allowing it to speed up... then, relax back into a slower pace & cadence for the Verse.
Good job, IMHO - Paul.
Good luck with it.

Hey Peter. Good to hear from you. I will check out that video for sure. I will touch it up for more consistency. Bad part, because there is no timing mode, you have to cut all four tracks and slide it a bit for taste. I know some of the spaces between are unequal. Just trying some different things for the "FUN" of itfunsongs wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 8:51 amThe tempo changes fit perfectly and complement the lyrics just fine.

its just a breathe of fresh air now and then to be unglued from the tempo of a loop
I like it : )
Well Hi crash. My only worry card was that if someone was tapping their toe along with the music, they would find themselves stumbling?
Just a simple I like it is most helpful. Tweek it or chuck it is where I am. Thank you

Paul - you just need to shoot a video of your self with a conductor's baton... signaling the tempo changes...
then play along to yourself in the video!!
That's how orchestras do it... you just need to clone yourself and be
