Catalog Prices?

I've gotten some interest from a media company to buy 100 60,45,30,15 second spots.
We'll be negotiating price this week and I've got no clue as to what that's worth. Anyone ever sold a catalog of pieces? or have info on a "going rate".

It will mostly depend on the type of license (exclusive, non-exclusive, length of time, etc.) and what they'll be using it for. Normally, for exclusive licenses, you can charge more. Exclusive will mean that you won't be able to license them anywhere else. If they're using them for broadcast, that means you will be earning backend money and you could potentially lower the price because of that. Don't sell yourself short, though. You should consider using a flat rate price per track.
Or you might consider selling them all together for one price. Make it high if it's exclusive. I'm talking several hundred dollars. To give you an example, I license loop packs of songs in a certain library that contain anwhere beween 5 and 15 10 - 20 second loops for $30. If I were selling them on my own, I would consider selling them for a bit more, but that's just fine with me for the library.
Another example - if I had the same offer to provide exclusive loops at a quantity of 50, I would probably try and get between $350 and $500. That's a starting point. Again, it depends on what they want to use them for. It's a negotiation, so if that intimidates you, consider finding someone to do it for you, like an agent or lawyer. Good luck.
