CCR Run Through the Jungle Submission

sending these two in for the 30-second cue. two ala's were pearl jam and black keys. i can't really capture those very well, so did something down the middle, just kinda straight modern rock.

A BALLSY, FRESH, DRIVING COVER VERSION OF CREEDENCE CLEARWATER’S iconic hit, "RUN THROUGH THE JUNGLE," featuring Male OR Female vocals -- with plenty of attitude -- is needed for a TV project we’re NOT allowed to disclose at this point. Top Secret… do you think the NSA is reading this email? ;-) Trust us when we tell you that it’s a really cool pitch, and it would be a great feather in your cap if you land it! Your cover of "Run Through The Jungle," has GOT TO ROCK, and have immediate impact. Get to the “meat” in a hurry, and avoid doing a long intro! Quoting the listing party: “Intensity is what we're looking for. Imagine the attitude of bands like Black Keys or Pearl Jam, and the passion and grit they bring to their music. Keep your track contemporary but straight-forward. Full-length versions are fine but we're really only looking for the chorus, so you can focus on doing a :15 to :30 version if you like. Feel free to play around with the tempo so long as your version demands attention and reels people in, and puts them on the edge of their seat. Think danger.” The company also mentioned that, “Your cover version should have an element of 'spookiness,' but if you incorporate this concept (not mandatory), don't let it take away from the drive and passion of the track, which is MOST important.”

Whooooo, those sure are some *ballsy* guitars! Nice work--digging the intense vocal delivery, too.

thanks fun...listing says 'new tv project' but they can't reveal at this point, though it sounds like a big one.

Man that listing wants a lot of stuff to happen!!!

I think you got what they are looking for...the rocking part is there..and the spookiness...

Great guitar playing on this one.

Awesome! Both are perfect! I think I like the more syncopated feel of the 2nd one than the harder straight up rock feel of the first.
Also, the prominence of the claps give it a great connection with the layered vocals.

I really like the vocal layers and gives it a great feel, but I wonder if it's not quite enough attitude and drive in the performance.

Good luck man, incredibly solid and you had me rockin from the first second the track cut in!

You can't make music fun..... It is fun! You can however make it a drag.

Dope! You should do a clinic on guitar tone. I prefer the riff in version 2.
