Congratulations man! Thanks for sharing your story.

I'm brand new to all of this (first post). Just got my first return last week and understood why. I'm just trying to learn as much as I can right now. I submitted a few more before I got the feedback on the return, so I may run into a similar problem with them. One thing I am learning is the key words in the call that define what they are looking for, and not trying to force my stuff where it really doesn't fit.

But I got excited for you getting your first forward after 9 returns and found it encouraging to read your post. Even though I am an old timer I've only been doing music professionally for a short time and just wading into this Taxi stuff thus far. I haven't, for example, tried to write to "what they're looking for" yet. Until now I've written more organically and hoped the right fit comes along. But who knows. I would like to be recognized as a songwriter some day by having other people record my stuff or use it in some other creative work (TV, film, etc.) so I need to keep learning and stretching myself while not losing touch with my own values as an artist. (Jeeze that sounds pompous, lol, but you know what I mean, I hope)

After eight returns I’ve got my first forward. I know it doesn’t means much for it is not very likely that it will find it’s way into a catalogue or even being placed but it is an encouragement. The comments on the returns have been very helpful. The biggest mistake i’ve made was not to read the description very properly and to put to much „music“ into the compositions. I try to learn the lessons and hope for the best. The music that was forwarded is an ambient drone thing. If you like to listen you find it here. https://www.taxi.com/members/H0Tr5hCBQ- ... m-of-space

That's a pretty cool mood. It's ominous but it gets kind of "pretty" then goes back. Slightly in a good way. :D
