celebrating my first forward

Post by Rolf » Sun Sep 13, 2020 12:07 am

After eight returns I’ve got my first forward. I know it doesn’t means much for it is not very likely that it will find it’s way into a catalogue or even being placed but it is an encouragement. The comments on the returns have been very helpful. The biggest mistake i’ve made was not to read the description very properly and to put to much „music“ into the compositions. I try to learn the lessons and hope for the best. The music that was forwarded is an ambient drone thing. If you like to listen you find it here. https://www.taxi.com/members/H0Tr5hCBQ- ... m-of-space

Congrats! Really nice track. I also submitted on this listing but got a return. I can see how yours was more what they were looking for.

You never know with deals and stuff. My forward rate is pretty atrocious (though I'm always trying new genres and high-bar listings for the challenge instead of sticking to what I'm best at) but after getting countless returns I got a deal on my second forward. So just keep making music.

Cheers,

Ted

Congrats for the deal Ted. I also try out different genres. right now I‘m waiting for the reviews of three meditation and three dramedy tracks. In three Years I will be retired hopefully then I’ve found out what may work best. :D

Congratulations - that's great to pass that milestone!

I'm still trying to get my first forward - I'm 0/9 so far but recognize that at least 3 to 4 of those were off target completely. I've had 3 that have been close, but some minor issues prevented them from moving forward.

I still have one pending *fingers crossed*.

But that's excellent Rolf! Keep up the excellent music creation!
Brad

Hey Rolf, that's awesome! Congratulations on the forward, and here's hoping it lands you a deal and placement!

Good luck!
