Chillhop Cue Return

Post by mrdtman » Sat Nov 11, 2017 4:18 pm

Got a return on this one, which is cool, but one of the comments was a 'glitch' in the loop - The mood is nice and chilled for sure and the guitar is well toned and played but the beat could be a little better programmed and flowing when compared to the examples. There is a slight glitch in one of the loops that could be fixed with a cross fade edit. I would suggest dialling back the reverb a tad too.

I was looking for that 'glitchy' feel kind of with this tune but, well, what are your thought my friends.

LISTING
D171102CH

CHILL-HOP INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a Non-Exclusive Music Library with a huge list of placements in Film, TV, Commercials, and Trailers. They’re in need of Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals that would fit well on a playlist with the following references: “Feel the Void” by Fat Jon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNo82zDnTRU “Lady Luck” by Marcus D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDFble1eHiY “Tsurugi No Mai” by Nujabes and Fat Jon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol3iWiBDVLE Although the references have vocals, this request is for Instrumentals only! Please send them well-structured Chill-Hop Instrumentals that are both rhythmically and melodically engaging. Your submissions should have a unique beat with plenty of layers of creative Instrumentation and ear candy throughout. Be sure your Instrumentals use fresh Electronic sounds and genre-appropriate production techniques. TAXI Tip: Be careful not to over do it for this pitch! The key is in the name; “Chill” Hop. Any sounds or instrumentation that are too bombastic or over the top won’t work this pitch. Give them something chill and groovy! All submissions

The glitch wasn't a problem for me and at least one of the examples provided was glitchier, but still not a problem for my ears.
I kind of understand what he says about the beat program. I have yet to find the groove magic in this genre, but I will!

Overall, a really nice piece (looped it a few times while doing bills!)
