contemporary rock, pop/rock

Post by monteverdejon » Sat Jun 12, 2010 9:24 am

this is in regard specifically to the listing for pop/rock instrumental composers due tuesday, but also more generally. when you hear "contemporary rock, pop/rock" with no a la's, do you think harder like daughtry/nickelback, or softer like coldplay/five for fighting? or do you interpret this as looking for a variety of rock-based music that sounds like current artists, rather than something specific?

actually the point is moot for me as i didn't see the word "exclusive" -- the tracks i was looking at submitting are already non-exclusive. oops.

When I see Rock, Pop/Rock I DEFINITELY don't think of Coldplay.

I think Daughtry, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, maybe Counting Crows - that kind of stuff. I'm usually decent in targeting my listings, so I trust my judgement of most of them. HTH
