Couple pizzicato Christmas Dispatch forwards

Post by VanderBoegh » Sat Dec 01, 2018 12:24 pm

Got a few pizzicato / dramedy-style Christmas tracks through for the recent dispatch listing:

Jingle Smells: https://soundcloud.com/vanderboegh/jingle-smells
Magical Winter Night: https://soundcloud.com/vanderboegh/magical-winter-night

ORIGINAL, PIZZICATO-DRIVEN CHRISTMAS INSTRUMENTALS are needed by SUNDAY by a U.K. Music Library that's getting lots of requests they need to fill VERY quickly!

Please submit ORIGINAL Pizzicato-based Instrumentals that convey a Christmas sound, style, and tone. Your submissions should include instruments you’d commonly hear in Christmas music, such as (but not limited to) sleigh bells, hand bells, chimes, etc.

TAXI TIP: You’d be wise to aim for a more cheerful, emotionally upbeat sound and vibe, rather than anything moody, sad, or down-tempo. Our educated guess tells us that these could get used in TV Commercials where Santa is seen coming out of a chimney or scenes with family members sneaking around trying to sneak gifts into the house, hide gifts until they're placed under the tree, or late-night shaking of gifts under the tree while trying to guess what's inside. We could also see this kind of music playing in some Santa's Workshop scenes - busy little elves and all ;-)

Always Top-Notch stuff coming from your studio, Matt!

I love the part in the first one where you pay homage to Jingle Bells in a very unique/sneaky way. Brilliant idea and made me laugh too!!
I bet these will be go to tracks for anyone lucky enough to have MVB in their catalog!!!

Congrats on the forwards!

Go your own way! Out of necessity, drive, gumption, whatever.. don't let anyone tell you you can't!
It's not what goes into your music that's important, it's what comes out the speakers

Wow, Matt.
They sound great. A couple of weeks ago I had my first four forwards. Two of them were for that listing. I was feeling rather pumped and even got more excited when I learned you had forwards for the same listing. Got myself into some pretty lofty company. After hearing your cues, I’m not so confident about my chances. But being in the same group of writers as you is quite an accomplishment.

I loved these! I've thought about creating some holiday-inspired dramedy cues, maybe I'll put some on the pile for 2019.
