I had submitted two cover songs for the following listing and had one forwarded:
COVER VERSIONS of SPECIFIC SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a super well-connected Publisher for Targeted Advertising Placements!
This is the first forward I have gotten since rejoining TAXI for my third time on May 11, 2020. Took me about 16 submissions to get a forward. I first joined TAXI in 1994 and was a member until 1999, I believe. Then I rejoined for a short time around 2005. I had a number of forwards and got some deals during my membership in the 90's. In 2005 I was too busy with my "day gig" to focus on my recordings and ultimately had no success with TAXI listings during that period.
Ironically, of the two cover songs I submitted, I had much higher hopes for the one that was returned (Here Comes The Sun). The one that was forwarded was Happy Together. I would LOVE some feedback from other forum members who could tell me what they like or don't like about either the forward or the returned. Here are my SoundCloud links:

I would also love to hear from you if you'd been a TAXI member more than once and why you left and came back.

Re: Cover Forwarded For Me Too!
Hey, John - liking your guitar tone choices and the solo/break. Congrats on the forward.
Cheers - from a lurker in The Peanut Gallery.

EDIT: in the returned one, I heard some 'odd' noises in the track (like duck quacks?) - I'm wondering if those were deemed to be distracting by the screener;
they kinda were to my old guy ears.

Re: Cover Forwarded For Me Too!
Duck quack? That's probably the guiro. Hmmm. The screener did not mention the guiro being distracting, but did say that something seemed out of tune. Wasn't sure if it was the uke or "other stringed" instrument. I had both cello and flute going in the mix, but used auto-tune to prevent intonation issues (I thought!). I honestly did not hear tuning issues, but my ears are old as well!
Thanks for the feedback, Peter. Much appreciated!

Re: Cover Forwarded For Me Too!
Since I also have hearing issues, at least I can't always appreciate equalization demonstrations on tutorials, I figured I'd go duck hunting. If you're still looking, check 26,34 45 and 53 seconds. Very enjoyable rendition, though. Never noticed the wildlife until it was mentioned.
