I think you can safely ignore that quote. Or, find out what that guy smokes...

Re: Crazy, aggressive, End Boss - or lullaby? LISTING ISSUES!?
I just noticed that... I just listened to the tracks and chose some instrumentals with a "dark" feel to them.CTWF wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 1:44 amSo, this listing below, I listened to the references. They are all very mellow, or even sleepy, and monotonous. Apart from the lyrics, quite suitable as children's lullabies, really.
Now, the listing says: “We’re looking for tracks that are dark, crazy, and kind of aggressive with an End Boss type of feeling.”
I don't get it at all. Really. Can anyone explain, please? Maybe those lyrics tick all those boxes, but it is supposed to be instrumental.
Do listing text and the references really match?
I am so confused!

CURRENT-SOUNDING, DARK RAP/HIP-HOP INSTRUMENTAL TRACKS are needed by a Multi-Platinum, Grammy-nominated Production Team that’s always presenting music to big artists’ projects!
They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumental Tracks that fall within the general stylistic ballpark of the following references we got from the client:
WARNING: The following references have graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.
“Clout” by Offset ft. Cardi B

“Sorry” by Future

“Every Season” by Roddy Ricch

“Chosen 1” by Polo G

Although the references above have vocals, this pitch is for Instrumental Tracks only!
Please submit well-produced Instrumentals that are composed around a dark piano and/or guitar pattern, and have a general vibe and style that fits in the ballpark of the references above. Your tracks should have innovative chord progressions (4-5 different chords or more) that prevent your Instrumental Tracks from sounding too repetitive. Please be sure your polished productions have speaker-knocking drums with high-quality Virtual Instruments and Samples.
Quoting the Client: “We’re looking for tracks that are dark, crazy, and kind of aggressive with an End Boss type of feeling.”
NOTE: You can expect that this Producer team will likely re-produce or re-work the track, and you’ll ultimately be entering into a co-write deal with them. We see that as a good thing. That’s how you get into an artist’s “camp,” which is exactly where you want to be.
The deal will be negotiated between you and the Collaborator(s), but it’s pretty obvious that the deal is likely to be a co-write. Please do not submit Instrumental Tracks that are already in other catalogs or signed to any publishing companies. If you land this, you will likely be offered an EXCLUSIVE publishing or co-publishing deal. Please submit as many Instrumental Tracks as you’d like, online or on CD.
All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a TAXI Screener – Short critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Friday, November 1st, 2019. TAXI #Y191101DG
