Deal from the Road Rally

Post by terryb » Sun Apr 06, 2008 12:23 pm

Hi:This happened a few months ago, but since I'm new to this site, I thought I'd post it...I attended my first Road Rally a few years ago, and in the process of handing out CD's to everyone, I got one in the hands of a prominent west-coast publisher... a couple of years go by, and I receive an e-mail from him, wanting to sign two of my songs to a non-exclusive deal. A couple of months later, he takes three more.Recently, I received a nice royalty check from Ascap...one of the songs is being used in a Feed the Children cable TV special, and another song has been in fourteen different CBS prime-time promo spots. I am currenty writing new material for him, as well as for new Taxi submissions.Just wanted to share that...it's one of the many great things about the Road Rally...and Taxi!
