Direct-To-Supervisor Forward For "Without Ya" & Impromptu Road Rally Interview w/Michael (Y171219IS)
We just received a forward for a song called "Without Ya". There is a cool side story to this. My daughter, Alexa was interviewed briefly by Michael and the panel concerning "Without Ya" at the 2012 Road Rally and it was captured on video (the audio is hard to hear). https://youtu.be/bfFs9EcTRLU There is also a video of her singing it live. https://youtu.be/93NnDcEmfZo There is also a studio version of it on our Taxi Playlist. This song has been forwarded a few times. Hopefully there is a place for it somewhere. Thanks for reading/listening!
Sincerely,
John

INTIMATE, SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with some POP influence and Female Vocals are needed for an (up-to) $5,000, NON-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement as the Closing Title Song in a Fantasy/Adventure Feature Film. They’re looking for Ballad to Mid-Tempo Songs that could be found on a playlist with artists like (but not limited to), Sara Bareilles, Julia Michaels, Colbie Caillat, Grace VanderWaal, etc., etc., etc,. Please take a listen to the following references we got from the Supervisor to get yourself in the general wheelhouse of what they need for this film: “Send Me The Moon” by Sara Bareilles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyV6653EUIc “Issues” by Julia Michaels: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ke4480MicU “The Little Things” by Colbie Caillat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWwmMSMzEyw “Just A Crush” by Grace VanderWaal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-qosJQtp5E Please submit well-structured Songs with engaging melodies, memorable hooks, and a big, infectious chorus. You can go with a relatively simple Stripped-Down Guitar/Vocal or Piano/Vocal performance, as well as versions with a small ensemble. A compelling, emotional vocal performance is important for this pitch, so be sure that your vocal delivery generally reflects the vibe of the references above and other acts that would fall in that ballpark. The bar is high for this pitch, so be sure to pull out your best! Lyric themes can vary, but should stylistically in the general ballpark of what acts like the references might do. Non-specific relationship-based or introspective/self-discovery lyrics could work well for this type of pitch. Please do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). The estimated license fee for this placement is (up-to) $5,000, depending on the ultimate use. This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music Supervisor pitch. You'll get 100% of the sync fee, and 100% of any applicable performance royalties. Plus, you'll also keep 100% of your Publishing and Master ownership. You need to own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD, and please include Lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by the Music Supervisor himself (time permitting), or a Screener selected by the Supervisor if his schedule gets too busy – Short critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PST), on Tuesday, December 19th, 2017. TAXI #Y171219IS

John and Alexa:
Now that's how a song is sung to let the song pull everything out of you. Excellent.

maybe you'll be getting a call from Adele, wanting permission to COVER it.
Or - the label will just sign Alexa - better yet?
