Disney+ placement and another update

Good morning all! It’s been a while since I’ve left an update, so I thought that this was a good time to do so.

The placements and catalog growth have been consistent thankfully. As of yesterday, my most recent placement is on a new Disney+ show called Growing Up, which was created by the Marvel star Brie Larson. My song “Come and Dance” with Axel Bauer is featured in Episode 7. This was through a music library that I met through TAXI.

Unfortunately, my TAXI membership lapsed but for a very good reason. I even received a call from TAXI asking about this since I’ve actively been apart of this community since 2014.

In a few days, I will be hopping on a plane to Europe to participate in my first ever songwriting camp! I will be one of about 30 writers/producers/vocalists. I was invited by a European publisher to this back in March, and took the leap of faith because I’ve never done anything of this nature before. Imposter syndrome wanted to kick in initially as I thought to myself “Why me?” But with the time and energy that I’ve put in over the years, I accepted that I was asked for a good reason and that this wasn’t a mistake.

My wife will be flying over after the camp and we will then vacation together. I can’t wait, as this will be my first time ever in Europe.

TAXI was definitely the training ground for all of this. The briefs or leads at writing camps, from what I hear, work a lot like TAXI listings. There are at least three reference tracks or so for the direction the record label has in mind, so you create based off the brief but obviously put your own creative spin on it. This is right up my alley as I’ve been doing this for quite a few years thanks to TAXI.

I’m extremely grateful for Michael and for this community that he has established. He gave many like myself a chance and helped us work towards our goals.

So yes, I will definitely be rejoining TAXI in time for this year’s Road Rally (Lord willing). My recent time, resources, and attention have been directed towards camp preparation, but I could never forget what TAXI has done for me. These words can’t do what TAXI has done for me justice.

Thanks guys! And yes Peter, I do plan on attending the Road Rally unless something changes. It may not be for the full time but at least Friday-Sunday morning.
