ENERGY DANCE

Out of my comfort zone again... Any tips for a newbie in electro stuff?

HIGH-ENERGY DANCE PARTY INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a fast growing, NON-Exclusive Production Music Library that’s sending music directly to the Music Supervisor of an extremely popular Reality TV Show franchise. They’re searching for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumental Cues that would fall within the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:

“Levels” by Avicii (R.I.P): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ovdm2yX4MA

“Toulouse” by Nicky Romero: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrVC5dm5fFc

“Fall Into The Sky” by Zedd: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GO1ih209NlU

Hey Phil this sounds really good already! Your build up at 1:26 is amazing and really spot on for this kind of festival stage edm stuff. I would use that build as the basis for your intro build and also before your second drop at 1:08. Just add some slight variation between the two so they don't sound identical and you'll be 95% of the way there.

Also I wouldn't use the sub bass dive on the first downbeat at 0:22. It's not as satisfying after the first build up. I'd stick with hard bass/kick combo for that first drop. The sub dive could be useful at the end of a build up before you hit them with the heavy kick/bass again.

Anyway just my thoughts, hope that's helpful!

Josh

Thank you so much Josh ! That's helpful ! The big question mark with these tracks is more about the structure mainly.. So, this helps a lot ! ;) Thx !
