Even more Sad strings and piano

Post by Peterg » Fri Jun 18, 2021 1:32 am

Here is another one I'm thinking of submitting to this brief.

Any comments welcome!

Thanks

Seems just a bit too active compared to the refs for my ears. Especially the big violin solo-like figure up around 0:28. Tempo at the beginning maybe too fast too IMO - it feels like this has more "info" per second than the references. Any way to simplify it and slow it down a bit to make it more contemplative-sad vs. dramatic-sad?

Thanks for listening Tom and Mike.
I think it possibly is a bit dramatic for this brief, I often seem to end up far too busy.
I'll have a last try at decluttering but maybe hold this one back for now.

Thanks

Peter

I LOVE it! But - agreed that it's probably not for this brief. It's beautiful though!

Thanks Robert! I did a slightly slower sparser version which I submitted. Possibly still too much of a tune going on, but we'll see.

Thanks Anderson! Its a mixture of Libraries, mainly Spitfire (Solo Cello, Solo Violin, Oliver Arnalds Chamber Evolutions, Cello section from studio strings + Intimate strings) + a big violin section from Jaeger strings (16 violins and 8 violas in octaves I think).
Cheers

Maybe you've already turned this in? But to my ear, it starts to change mood at around 1:18, getting a little more dramatic. Then at around 1:40 it goes even farther in that direction -- maybe more like a "new day dawning" when the hero(ine) is finally saved from certain destruction in the last five minutes of the show.

Thanks for listening Michael, yes its already turned in so we'll see. It does change where you say, but its still the same chords and melody, just a bit more intense, I was hoping that would increase the sadness a bit more

FYI, you can replace the file in your profile page before the listing due date. Just go to the file in your music list and upload a newer version.
