But: Continue to work on it. Listen to relevant references. Try to emulate the elements that can push your song further into the right direction.

I think this is really cool! Some things can be improved, I think, in terms of production. And I think you would still need to make it fresher, more interesting, more contemporary.
My #1 production comment, however, would be to put any deep bass dead center.
