Coincidentally, I submitted a track to a library (not a Taxi listing) on Monday morning, got acceptance notification within 2 hours, submitted the alts later that day, then received notification that it was published the next day - 24hrs to complete! It feels rewarding when it works out like that, especially compared with waiting for more than 2.5 years for foreign royalties to come through .
Dang! That's incredible!

Thanks, but its not a placement yet :). That's when it feels real good. The best I've done on that is about 10 days after release. Most of my tracks haven't been placed at all though - which is the tough reality for a lot of us. I'm sure Matt does wayyyy better than most, but that's up to him to say.

Graham (UK). Still composing a little faster than decomposing, and 100% HI.

Congrats!!! Matt a question for you, these songs that you feature artists are mixed and mastered by you or do you have someone else for that job?

Didn't expect to check the forums and see my old thread get a shot of extra zombie life, lol.

In answer to this question, I do all the mixing and mastering on all of my material - with very rare exceptions.

Hey, loving those Hip Hop tracks! I notice one of the other posters mentioned your original intention was to write country songs and I've checked out your Urban Country tracks. Dem Bad Dogs brings to mind (lyrically) one of my own country attempts which is called All Those Dudes were Dawgs, intended for a female artist. It really needs re-doing with a better tune and female vocal. The lyric is strong I feel, but the rest is entirely replaceable. To that end, do you get involved with much collaborative work with Taxi members? I have 3 or 4 country-ish lyrics/tunes in need of reworking and re-recording and you seem a good chap (yes I'm English!) to talk to about this! :) I've copied an pasted links to some of the tunes, Cheers (I'm a Taxi Newbie btw)

Hey MAsh, in regards to your question about working collaboratively with other Taxi members, YES! Probably about 85% of my co-writers are all Taxi members. Well, maybe more like 90%.

My workload is completely full though for the foreseeable future. If you're looking for help on these songs, your best bet would be to post them in the "peer-to-peer" or "collaboration corner" areas of these forums and see what you can drum up.

Best of luck to you!

~~Matt
