EZ Drummer vs Superior

I've used EZ Drummer extensively in the past and wonder if Superior is really worth the added cost. If I remember correctly, Superior allowed greater tonal control via compression and such. It seems to me like this would be pretty valuable if I was producing very drum heavy tracks like metal, hard rock, etc. I'm more in the indie folk world with aspirations of creating more instrumental tracks for music licensing work so I'm looking at different options. I'm also considering getting the East West Composer Cloud which has a lot of drum plugins as well. Thanks for any kind of feedback!

The George Massenberg kits in Superior 3 is to die for. Also I find EZD 2 more compressed. Many kits in Superior 3 is more open sounding, imo. I struggle to get a nice phat snare sound in EZD without a hard attack. In Superior 3, you can layer drums, and get a lot more nuanced sounds. So there is a difference. The question is, can your audience hear it? Not sure about that.

I appreciate the info guys! I think Superior might be worth the extra money in the long run.
