kitz ...Quote:Vocal reminds me of Timothy B. Schmidt - very impressive!!what an astute observation. I am very familiar with the nuances of both of these singers and I've not noticed it before but you are absolutely right. methinks zing ain't as up to snuff on timothy B but I sure hear it now.
Gave up guilt when I left the ol' school girl uniform behind. You know, cute little skirts and knee socks, nuns and rulers and all that.

No, you're not slow, and neither it is that you're quick so much as that nobody else gives a sh*t, 'scapes. But although I like to come in cloaked in ambiguity so as to get a decent fight, I cannot henceforth deny my matrimonial allegiance to the old pervert.

Mazz hit the nail right on the head here. Who is the star of the song, the vocal or the drums? Clashes too much right now...There is a great song in there but it is being destroyed by the drums. Lower the drums A LOT in the mix and bring out the song and that very nice Chrissie-like vocal line.Check out The Pretender's new CD... Plenty of room for a little retro with a voice like Chrissie's.Forget funk and all that... Think film/TV- the right "a la" opportunity. Also, you may want to check out this CD by a fav of mine, a local Philly band:http://www.amazon.com/Little-Voodoo-Gre ... 000068793I instantly heard similarities... big compliment. Thanks every one for checking this out and offering up some great advice. Sorry I haven't been around much this past week. Been slammed with working on the AVSite. Looks like I found my answer for the most part on this one. Thanks again all! Much appreciated.
