Family Reunion

Post by Casey H » Sun Nov 06, 2022 9:28 am

The rally, among a zillion other things, is the best family reunion EVER. Seeing all you folks again in person is an amazing feeling. And meeting wonderful new people is awesome as well. There is no music community like this one... anywhere. :D  8-)

I can't tell you how many first timers said to me how blown away they are by how friendly & helpful everyone is here, giving freely to help them succeed. 8-)

Thank you Michael and Taxi staff for all you do to put this together! You all rawk! 8-) And so do all of you, my old friends and new ones. 8-)

It has been really lovely to see you again in person, Casey, and to see many other familiar faces and new ones!

Really glad to hear you guys enjoyed it :)

I really wish I was there but this year as great as it was, it just was not the right time for me to make it as my first Road Rally, however I am planning to change all that in 2023 so let the long countdown begin :D

In the meantime I am going to keep my eyes glued to TaxiTV for the sequels!

Good to read a good report, Casey, and that all went well.
Like most of my collaborators, 2022 was a bummer no-go; but looking forward to 2023...
and the sequels as a 'door prize' for those who couldn't attend this year.

Cheers.

It was great meeting you in person Casey. You're always so helpful here on the forum. It's wonderful to match up the 3D version with your online presence.

The Rally could have gone on for a week and I still wouldn't have gotten to all the great tidbits of info.

Thanks much.

Hi Casey,
It was great finally getting to meet you, chatting outside of the Song Bar, with Ed:) We spoke about how helpful you've been, how you always seem to have Tylenol and everything else anyone needs lol, and as I'm writing this, I recall us giving you a CD:) Hope you enjoy! It was an amazing 'family reunion'. Maybe even more important this time around because it was in-person again. So many great people, old friends, new friends/collaborators. We did an open mic, and, at the very last Happy Ending Pitch Panel on Sunday, we had a song (Island Treasure), taken by Rob Chiarelli. We are super excited! So grateful to Michael Laskow for all he does, and to all of you who help him:)

I second your thoughts Casey....

It was soooooooo good to see and hang with so many of our extended Taxi family again. Not to get too corny but, my cup truly runneth over!

And, wow.... did I ever meet a lot of first-timers too. They all seemed to share the same, common, awestruck sentiments: "This is so GREAT," "I can't believe how friendly everyone is," "I wish I had done this years ago," "The panels and classes are fantastic," "I've learned so much already," "I can't wait to get back home and start writing and recording," "I don't want it to end," and on and on and on.

Kudos once again to Michael Laskow and the entire Taxi staff. I can't imagine the work it takes to pull off something like this and make it run so seamlessly. Thanks for the privilege of letting me hang with y'all.

And all I can say to those who have yet to attend the Rally is, GET TO THE NEXT ONE. You will grow in most every aspect of the music business and be one-hundred steps closer to achieving your goals and dreams.

Just do it!

:-)

It was so good reconnecting with everyone in person. I had a blast and can't wait until next year!

Completely agree, which is funny, because I skipped my legitimate family reunion to go to the rally.

Yep amazing weekend to say the least!
A family so big one can't possibly meet and talk to everyone.
(Unless someone has? Not including Michael on the "Mike")
