You are correct. Real Band is only available for Windows. Real Tracks and Real Drums are both available for both platforms. Real Band is not available for Mac because PG's DAW Power Track Pro Audio was never available for Mac. When I started working with BIAB, I had a Mac. I stayed with that thinking that they would come up with Power Tracks for Mac. They never did. I was already used to using PCs for business, so I switched platforms.

Although I don't use the Mac version, I have noticed that the Mac version runs about a year behind the Windows version. Currently they are selling Windows 2017 and Mac 2016. What do you use for a DAW?

I'm running OSX 10.9.2 and Logic Pro 9 as my DAW.

You might check with the PG Music users forum. The Mac users should be able to provide some insight as to workflow with Logic and BIAB. Just a thought. Sorry that I can't help with Mac based usage.
