Post by Dtoy » Thu Jul 02, 2020 11:05 pm

the listing calls for:
1985-2000 Style BRIT POP/ROCK SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a very busy Music Library with a great track record of placements in Films and TV shows!

Can you guys give me some input on this one?

thank you !

Personally I don't think it's got enough of the rock attitude, it's pretty laid back and more acoustic pop than pop -rock..reminds me of St Ettienne or someone like that than the songs in the Listing References ( of which I bought several back in the day ). I know the Oasisi track is acoustic but it's got more attitude in the vocal delivery and then that hyper compressed drum sound ( sounds like a Distressor EL-8 ? ) adds to the more aggressive vibe.

it is reminiscent of the era though so I would say it's a bit 50-50. Maybe if you could layer some distorted guitars it would help. I also think the vocal is sticking out a bit so it makes the backing track sound smaller than it should.
