Feedback Please on this Rock Instrumental Cue

Post by piwacquet » Wed Sep 13, 2017 7:24 am

HI all,

I am working on beefing up my inventory of cues. This is not for a particular listing. Could you take a listen and tell me if this Rock Instrumental Cue is lousy, decent or good?

I really appreciate it. Thanks for your time and input.

HI Mike,

Very solid track.

I think there should be a bass drum hit at :57.
Great work keeping all the parts distinct in the mix.

Excellent !

Cool track for sure! :D
Good starting mix but needing some tweaks per my ears...
Right guitar could use a little more beef
Center guitar is buried
Hi Hat gets too hot at times
Kick is missing all of it's bottom end...

I would mix the guitar levels while monitoring in Mono
In Mono you will hear where the guitars are disappearing!
I kept jumping back and forth Mono/Stereo to try to decipher what I thought I was hearing and it became quickly obvious...
Just a few more tweaks and your solid!

Yes...I agree with Cass....

I was going to mention the left side seems to have a bit more going on then the right side.

Thank you Tim and Cass for listening. Your input is right on and I do so much appreciate your help. I will be working on the mix today.

Tim - I don't know how I missed that Kick. Thanks for pointing it out.

Cass - You confirmed a couple of my concerns. Thanks for the detailed thoughts.

Thanks again guys
