Female vocalist keen to collaborate

Post by lola » Mon Apr 06, 2020 10:16 am

Hey songwriters,

Let's collaborate: versatile female singer-songwriter, S-S, AC, Roots/Americana with bluegrass and world undertones.
Background in vocal jazz, piano, acoustic guitar. Strengths: Voice, lyrics, melodies.
Songwriting too - but haven't done remote or long-distance co-writes.

But can lay down vocals & melodies pretty easily usually.

If you've been writing and the listings call for female vocals and that's not your strength... let's partner up.

I've a workable set up I think to lay down and send tracks: Logic and SE 2200a II c condenser mic (thanks to a TAXI member), pop filter, Focusrite (AKAI mpk mini, two acoustic guitars and a crappy keyboard).

Fast upcoming listings:
Apr 13 Indie S-S fits Vance Joy, Lucy Dacus, Jaymes Young. Exclusive. Split Sync. S200413SG
Apr 18 Modern S-S all tempos, can be relatively simple, acoustic-driven, ex. Lewis Capaldi "Before You Go" S200418SS
Apr 20 Heartfelt piano-driven, lyrics: hope, stay strong, getting through "Gravity" Sara B, "Superwoman" Alicia Keys S200420HF
Apr 22 Happy acoustic-based pop or S-S, mid-up tempo. Ingrid Michaelson "Everybody" or "Be OK" TBD. S200422SA
Apr 28 Heartfelt AC piano-based lyrics: need each other, friends, lonely "I Will Remember You" Sarah McLachlan S200428AC

You can hear my voice/style at https://www.lolaparks.com or the usuals.
Message me if interested at info@lolaparks.com or spowlik@gmail.com - cheers!

Hi.
Just so you know - this is a very public-accessible platform; so, if you have any privacy concerns about sharing your personal email address, you may want to consider removing that from your post, and encourage folks who wanna reply & respond to you - to do so via the Private Message (PM) option - which you/they can access by placing the cursor over your avatar name...
which opens the PM menu.

FYI: I am always interested in adding singers' names to my contact call list directory - ya never know when the need for THAT voice will arise.
Gonna go take a listen to your material.
Thanks for making your introduction.
Cheers,
Peter

I read that the band U2 was formed when the drummer put up an ad at a music store looking for other musicians to work with. The 3 people that responded to the ad were Bono, the Edge and bass player Adam. The rest is history.

Is this true, or just an urban legend?

Good for you lola, for extending the collaboration branch...whether you decide to work with me or not. :)
