Thanks so much for all the information guys... I'm really excited about coming. The info on the guitars for the open mic was much needed... trying to pack light as well.. and bringing the guitar was one of the things I've been see-sawing back and forth on. I do have one question.. I have the possiblity of playing a show in LA on one of the nights of the Rally (nothing is set in stone yet, but it's a good possibility).... in your opinions... would it be better just to stay at the hotel and mingle with the masses, or take the show???

Assess which is better for your career (and energy level), I guess.

I have a question if you dont have a guitar and you have tracks of your music is there any audio system that would allow you to play your tracks for you to perform at the open mic in the evening?

Good question, I should have included it in my list!

HI,I am sooooo glad you posted these tips! I need to attend the Road Rally and I am signed up. However, my main concern at any and all times is my food consumption. I am not necessarily a vegetarian but I don't like GMO(genetically modified foods(even they are veggies and fruits) and highly prefer organic foods. I make all my foods from scratch, even fig newtons and spinach pies and organic pizzas as well as making my own cheese from nutritional yeast. I also do not fry nor consume soy products. I am hoping you see my point, as long as it is grass fed beef and non-hormone or antibiotic cow's milk or organic fruits/veggies and unbleached, non aluminum baking products, I am good. My spirituality MUST remain in tact and optimal.SO this can be a problem for me to stay in the Westin. My recent dietary changes have made me feel more energized than ever before and I can't even help giving a testimony in this post!I am wondering if there is anything I can do at this point for a Purist, which is the closest name I can come to that anyone can relate to. I really like the Westin and I am familiar with the Heavenly Beds and I am in love with them. I would hate to miss the excitement all because I needed to stay at an Extended Stay or Lodge. Please see what you can do to help direct me to a suitable diet because I would absolutely die if I had to put in mouth some of the things people freely put in their mouths. Even if I have to make a small sacrifice I can do that, I can also eat fish.I can be emailed at cosmosmusic@live.com.Thanks!Yena El

Housekeeping came to the door, extremely apologetic... and did up the room... and then room service arrived with the most beautiful fruit plate... pineapple, grapes, apples, oranges... just lovely. The rooms all have fridges. Down the street there is a great little cafe which serves fresh salads, etc. I can't say that it's all organic, but I can say it's fresh. I'm not aware of any grocery stores near by but I am aware that if you talk to the concierge, they will find you a driver or a cab that can take you somewhere to buy supplies like organic yogurt & fruit, whole grain organic bread, and the like. There might even be a vegetarian restaurant around there, I don't know.HTHHummin'bird
