Re: First song in this new reality...
Hi Tom,
1. Everything is tracked separately.
2. Guitars are not quantized. It's actually 2 guitar tracks and a uke track.
3. As far as vocals I'll usually track about 3 performances all the way through, one of which is perhaps 80% good. The stuff that's not good I can usually grab from another performance and comp it in. When i double the lead I really try and get the phrasing and landing on the consonants to be as exact as possible and I go soft on the consonants on the doubled track. And to get that to really line up often requires some editing after the fact. And for this vocal which I wanted to be really upfront and compressed the snot out of it so I ended up removing alot of space between phrases because the noise floor was amplified by the compression.
Hope that helps!

Hi Very very nice. Art Garfunkle's got nuthin up on you. Not sure on the processing on the vox. Came across a little staticy to me?? Might be these cans. Like to hear the bass ring a little longer? also I think it was around 2;35 on that third chord, the bass note was an off note that worked, but not a good feel from this ole guy. All trivial stuff. I like folks to bash even if they are wrong. congrats on this..I hear film

I really like the changes, E. Getting a Peter Gabriel vibe (I think you could bring that out even more). Love it!

Thanks, yeah doing as good as one can in times like these, I guess. Nothing fancy, but still hanging in there (and here )
Music is a neccessity, not a luxury.

Haunting, intriguing, memorizing!
I like it. Has a great unique, and hypnotizing quality to it!
Well done!
