Follow Up Y/N?
Dear All,
Quick question. I had a forward and the Music Supervisor contacted me to check whether my info etc. was correct as they are going to pitch my song to the director. After answering their email, I was wondering what is considered 'best practice' in that scenario. Is it appropriate to follow up at some point in case I do not hear back from them after a while or just stay silent and eventually 'get the message'. I would be grateful if you could let me know your thoughts.
Cheers,
Matt

I would wait it out. Sometimes it takes a while for them to hear from the director. Hopefully the supervisor will let you know either way, but it doesn't always happen. If you got that far, it's already a very good sign I would say!

Thanks. It was my plan to wait it out. The good thing is that I already know the release date so I guess I just need to be patient either way.stansongman wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 1:57 pmI would wait it out. I eventually followed up on this after approx. 2 months but did not receive any response. I understand the movie was released yesterday so that answers the question. Maybe this experience is helpful for other new members when it comes to the degree of professional courtesy one can expect.
Cheers,
Matt

HI Matt,
I have never followed up on any contact by any libraries or supervisors, ever.
If they want to get in touch with you...they will.
Others may have a different opinion.....

Thanks Tim. From now on that is exactly what I will do. I just thought I share this experience.
