** take a moment to read through the forum and try to post your thread in the right section so it doesn't get lost, cause we do want to join in the discussion you've begun!
Being somewhat OCD (which is why I think I'll be good at this sync music stuff once I hit my stride!) I get bothered by users posting in the FROM TAXI section of the forum. Is there a way to prevent this, and possibly move the non-official discussions out? I'm asking because when I see a new post "from Taxi" I'm looking forward to knowledge handed down from on high... :D

Looking at the full Board Index - I don't see any of them that are FROM TAXI.
If you mean something else, please look again at the list when you open the whole page, and highlight the one that's bothering you.
Thanks.

There is a "From TAXI" section of the board (second section down)... it would be up to the Board moderators to move any errant post from non-staff to another section if that occurred... they probably don't want to disallow posts in that section in case people have questions.

I'm imagining for future research, if the user threads were in another - more appropriate - section they'd be easier to stumble upon. But that's just me taking time to moan and complain ;)

It's an entire section. I just don't want it's value diluted by posts that are off-topic for Taxi business; even if they are relevant and useful to all the members. That's why I suggested moving them. They are increasing the entropy of the site. :P

To be honest I do see people posting in the wrong areas of the forum sometimes and occasionally I might mention it, but, well, we're a community and if someone goes into the 'forward' room to post about their 'return/review', I usually just shrug my shoulders. The posts that 'bug' me are really when the same person posts the same topic three times in three different sections :D

Quite a few posts have been made in the FAQ section, from members discussing different things. I imagine that is what Alan is talking about. Alan, if you really want the 'From TAXI' section to be only 'From TAXI' then you could contact the moderator and ask if it's possible that area be restricted to posts by TAXI personnel only and cite your reasons... up to them whether they feel it's a valid complaint ;)
