Forward - Contemporary Christian

Post by johnnyrowing » Fri Mar 26, 2021 7:50 pm

I submitted 2 tracks for the recent Contemporary Christian listing. I am so encouraged. One of them received a forward!

The forwarded track is called I Can Hear It. Just in case you'd like to give it a listen I hope the below link works.

https://www.taxi.com/members/Ef77nz5GSm ... an-hear-it

The returned track is called Like You. I won't link to that but it is on my page.

So happy to have a place to share. I treasure the little signs of hope during this journey.

Here is the listing:
CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a successful, Nashville-based Indie Christian Record Label for artists on their impressive roster.

This Label is looking for exceptional Songs in All Tempos that could appeal to fans of the following references:

"Springtime" by Chris Renzema

"Alright" by Jonathan Ogden

"You Say" by Lauren Daigle

Please submit well-crafted, modern Singer/Songwriter Songs with compelling melodies, instantly memorable choruses, and positive, Christian-based messages. We think stripped-performances and more filled-out productions could both be appealing to this Label. Whichever approach you decide to take, your Songs should be really well-written. Any and all software sounds and samples you use should sound fresh and modern. Captivating vocals with solid deliveries could help get this Label and their artists excited about your tracks!

Lyric Tip: Lyrics that specifically reference God, Jesus, etc. or more abstract approaches are both on the table for this request.

Your production and recording quality needs to be clean, clear, well-balanced, and good enough to represent your Songs well. Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture, and overall vibe.

Please submit as many Songs as you’d like online or per CD, and include lyrics. NO DEADLINE EXTENSIONS for this request. Sorry folks, but we're on an extremely tight deadline, so please don't even ask! All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. All submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Saturday, March 20th, 2021. TAXI # S210320SS

Congrats, Johnny. Seems that's a tough one to break through - well done.

Congrats Johnny!
CCM, from what I’ve heard is one of the hardest markets to crack. Great job on the forward and best of luck! John

Whew! There were some great tracks forwarded. I see what you all are saying about this genre having a high bar.

Indeed - fancy that - a "High Bar" for this genre...
for that particular congregation who gather at the place where taking the elements includes 2-drink minimum!
