Forward for Covid related listing

Post by songmaster » Sat Sep 26, 2020 5:12 am

I was happy to get this forward this morning for my song "We Will Be Alright". Looks like they still need songs to do with the virus. The song is on my Taxi page if interested and also Soundcloud. Fingers crossed as usual :)

S200901LT

Genre: Songs For COVID-19 Pandemic Projects

Closes At: Sep 1, 2020 11:59PM PDT
[LISTING EXPIRES TOMORROW]

A Bunch of SONGS with Lyric Themes about “The Light at the End of the Tunnel” (with Male or Female Vocals) is needed by a hard-working Music Library that works closely with their artists and is constantly landing cool placements in TV Shows!

They will likely need several of these, not just one or two!

NOTE: We purposely avoided putting references in this Listing, as we felt they could potentially be more misleading or limiting, than helpful. However, this company tends to request the following commercially viable genres from TAXI, so you’d probably be wise to focus your efforts on Pop, Singer/Songwriter, Adult Contemporary, Rock, and R&B/Soul Songs.

Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs are usually more easily placed, but if you have really strong Ballads or Down-Tempo Songs, those could work as well in this context.

Here are some additional concepts, keywords, ideas, and phrases to get your creative gears turning, but please don’t limit yourself to just these! We encourage you to come up with some of your own!

Concepts and keywords:

Making it through tough times
We're almost in the clear
The worst is behind us
It's almost over
We're almost there
Hold on a little bit longer
We're going to make it through
Better days are coming
We're almost out of the woods

Please submit emotionally uplifting Songs that deliver a message that might inspire the listeners to keep holding on because the hard times are coming to an end soon. Whichever genres or sub-genres you pitch, be sure to have genre-appropriate instrumentations and competitive productions. Moving, well-performed vocals, memorable melodies, and really solid choruses could work to your advantage.

TAXI Tip: We strongly suspect these Songs will be used in the inevitable TV shows and movies about the Coronavirus Pandemic.

As always, you'd be wise to avoid using specific names, places, dates, times, brands, and profanity if you’d like to increase the chances of your Songs getting signed and ultimately landing placements. You'd also be smart to avoid lyrics that specifically say, "virus, COVID-19, Coronavirus," etc.

NOTE: They will need instrumental-only versions of your Songs as well, but not yet! All you need to submit for now are the Full Songs with vocals, but please have mixes-minus-vocals on hand and ready to send at a moment’s notice if you get a call or email from the Music Library. If you don’t have the ability to get your mixes-minus-vocals in the hands of the Music Library within an hour after being contacted, please don’t submit for this!

Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so please be sure the Songs you pitch for this request are NOT already signed with other Companies or Catalogs. Sync fees will be split 50/50 with the Company. You'll keep 100% of the Writer's share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher's share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit. Please submit as many Songs as you'd like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Tuesday, September 1st, 2020. TAXI # S200901LT
