Forward for my first collab with David Zimmer!

Post by kyliecouper » Fri Feb 15, 2019 4:31 pm

David Zimmer and I made our first song together for the Chill Electronic House listing.
We were pretty excited to get a forward and this feedback from the reviewer:

"Hi Kylie, this is so, so good that I forgot I was listening to a submission and not a reference song. Damn girl! Killer!"

Track is here:

This was the listing:
CHILL ELECTRONIC HOUSE SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed for a $250 - $500, Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement in an Indie Feature Film. The Music Supervisor is currently looking for a Mid-to-Up-Tempo Song that would work well in place of “Nothing Without You” which is currently temped in but needs to be replaced:

"Nothing Without You" by Tinlicker ft. Thomas Oliver

NOTE: They’re NOT looking for clones or soundalikes! Similar tempo, energy, and overall vibe? Yes. Clones? No!

IMPORTANT TAXI Tip: The “Nothing Without You” reference Song is approximately 123bpm. Matching that tempo (approx.) is important to the client!

Give them well-crafted Songs with atmospheric electronic elements and laid-back grooves that are stylistically in the wheelhouse of the feel of the reference mentioned above. Your song does not have to be the typical ABAB song structure for this pitch. Your song can be primarily instrumental based, with a catchy hook that weaves in and out. Please be sure your overall production is super strong and contemporary-sounding and has the latest and most up-to-date synth sounds and beats.

Lyric themes can vary but should be relatively standard for the genre.

Wow, congratulations on both the forward and also that great review!

Listening to the track now, and I agree with the screener, that is great work! Hope you get a deal and placement(s)!
